FLORENCE E. BROWN (nee LABBE) 1912 - 2007 Florence Elizabeth Brown, of Winnipeg, formerly of Flin Flon, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2007, at the Kildonan Personal Care Centre. She was predeceased by her husband Maurice K. Brown, her sisters, Winnie, Marge and Irene and her brother Ernest Buster . She is survived by her brother Lloyd and sister Merle in Montreal. She is lovingly remembered by her son Ralph (Gail) and granddaughters, Cara (Patrick) and Lise, daughter Susan Lobay (Tom) and grandchildren, Kelly, Kyle, Candace, Brendan and Caelin, daughter Janis Butterworth (Ray) and grandchildren, Jon (Jenny), Jaclyn and Landon. In recent years, she found great delight in the visits of her great-grandsons, Joshua and Dillon. Florence was born and raised in Montreal and journeyed north to Flin Flon in 1943 to marry Maurice a Metallurgical Engineer, graduate of McGill University. She enjoyed an active life in Flin Flon and many summers in Clear Lake. She moved to Winnipeg 1973 and enjoyed travelling during Maurice's retirement years. She will be fondly remembered for her devotion to family, love of the outdoors and the arts, her graceful presence and playful spirit. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the care and kindness extended to Florence by the staff of the Kildonan Personal Care Centre. At Florence's request, a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Florence's memory may be made to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, 380 Graham Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4K2, or the Children's Wish Foundation Manitoba Chapter, 350 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2.
