MARGARET RAE MACDONALD (nee WILLIAMS) 1920 - 2007 Passed away peacefully at the Lions Manor Personal Care Centre in Winnipeg, MB, on March 1, 2007, in her 87th year. Predeceased by her father Martin, her mother Fanny, her brother George and her husband Roy (2005). Marg will be deeply missed by her children, Marilyn Macdonald (Stephen Jones), Murray Macdonald (Lisa Thomassen), Neil Macdonald (Sarah-Lynn Klassen); her grandchildren, Rhiannon (Jay), Ryan, Gwen and Sean; her nephew Martin (Colleen) Williams, her nieces, Nancy Primmer and Brenda (Chris) Cleverley and their children. Marg lived in Winnipeg all her life. An ardent golfer, Marg was an active member of Southwood Golf and Country Club for over half a century. In addition to golf, she enjoyed badminton at the Wildewood Club, curling at the Winter Club, bridge, and especially time spent at family cottages at Winnipeg Beach and Falcon Lake. Marg was a member of Fort Garry United Church and an active participant in Circle 22. She was involved in the McKinnon Guild, volunteering at the Nearly New Shop for over 25 years. Marg also participated in fundraising efforts in support of the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba. Marg was a wonderful wife, sister, mother, aunt, and grandmother and she will live on in the memory of those she leaves behind. She loved life and placed a high value on family and friends and giving to others. The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Khan and the caring and compassionate staff on the 3rd floor of the Lions Manor Personal Care Centre for looking after Marg so well over the last few years and for keeping her comfortable in her final days. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Marg's life will take place at Thomson In The Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Nancy Finlayson officiating. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marg's memory to the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba or a charity of one's choice.
