JOHN WESLEY DON
Date of Passing: Mar 15, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN WESLEY DON Peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2007 Wes quietly passed away with family by his side at Poseidon Nursing Care Home at the age of 70 years. Wesley is survived by his loving wife Karen of 51 years, his son Chris with wife Lynne, and his precious granddaughters, Samantha and Alicia Don. Wes was born and raised in St. Boniface, Winnipeg and served in the R.C.A.F. for many years throughout Europe. He worked at various occupations and finally retired from security work at WCB due to a diagnosis of MS. Years later he then was diagnosed with cancer and fought valiantly until the disease finally took his last breath. We will miss him dearly and a day will not go by without him in our thoughts and our hearts. The girls will always remember the caring and humorous ways of their grandfather. The family wishes to deeply thank the kind staff of the Concordia Hospital and the Poseidon Nursing Care Home for their compassion and care during Wes' final years. No public service is planned as to respect Wesley's wishes. Cremation is to take place privately. Donations in Wes's name may be made to the Cancer Society or the MS Society. Rest Peacefully, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend. We love you.

Rest in peace kind and gentle soul. I was not aware you had passed, and my heart hurt when I read this. So very sorry to hear, and I send my sincerest condolences to Wes's family. He was a true gentleman, and a generous man who always had the time to stop and chat, or offer a helping hand if required. Will miss you brother. - Posted by: Anonymous () on: Dec 05, 2017
