WALTER HENRY EVANS On Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Concordia Hospital, Walter passed peacefully away at the age of 94. He was predeceased by his wife Ada, his parents, his brothers, Robert and Frank, and sister Charlotte. Walter will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Patricia (Ralph) Zelinsky with whom he resided. He is also survived by his sister Mary McDonald (Douglas), as well as several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Born in Saskatchewan, Walter lived most of his life in Manitoba. He served overseas with the Royal Canadian Rifles. While in England, he met and married Ada Liddy. Upon his return from the war, he was employed with Shell Oil. At Walter's request, in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. A Memorial service will be held Wednesday evening, March 21, at 7:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
