WILFRID (PITOU) CARRIERE Surrounded by his loving family, Wilfrid passed away at the Riverview Health Centre on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the age of 67 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Yvette (nee Lambert) of 43 years, his children, Lise (Paul) Lapointe, Denis (Kelly), his grandchildren, Rachelle, David, Janelle and Ashlyn, one brother, six sisters, as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Florence and his sister Patricia. Wilfrid was a devoted family man, loving every minute spent with them at different family gatherings. He always had a well stocked woodstove and woodpile that he admired. Collecting this wood became a great hobby of his. Wilfrid also had a passion for all of his vehicles. In the company of his friends, he attended many music functions which his wife performed in. Wilfrid always enjoyed dancing. He was employed as an equipment operator for 38 years with Supercrete/Lafarge. The family would like to thank Father Marcel Carrière, Dr. Deaninck, Dr. Turner, Dr. Hanna and all the nurses and staff of St. Boniface Hospital and Riverview Health Centre. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 21 at St. Eugene Roman Catholic Church, St, Mary's Road at 2:00 pm. Interment of the cremated remains will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
