Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARRY VAN DEN AKKER Correction in Place of Service Peacefully at home on March 15, 2007, the Lord in His infinite wisdom took unto Himself His child, Harry Van Den Akker. Harry will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Jantina Tinie, of 45 years, as well as his children, Charles (Charlene) and Charlene (Stephen). He was a wonderful Opa to his loving grand-children, Helena, Marina, Colin and Leanna. He also leaves behind his brother John (Tina) and sisters, Freda (Ed) and Gerrie, along with numerous nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law. Harry was predeceased by his parents, Barend and Willemke. Harry was born and raised in the Netherlands and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1954. Harry was employed by Lighting Materials after which he enjoyed 25 years of service employed by the Solicitor General at Stony Mountain, retiring in 1998. As family we would like to thank the wonderful staff on the Palliative ward in St. Boniface Hospital for their excellent care given to Harry during his stay there. Viewing will take place Wednesday, March 21 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main St. Burial will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 22 at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 653 Knowles Ave., with Reverend. K. Jonkers officiating. FRIENDS FUNERAL SERVICE 2146 Main Street 339-5555
