ED ERHART Ed Erhart passed away peacefully on March 19, 2007, in Comox, BC, at the age of 88. Ed is survived by his wife Elsie and their sons, Bob, George and Dale, along with their daughter-in-laws, Johanne and Laurel. Ed also leaves behind seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Ed was well respected and admired for his joy of life and steadfast integrity. His love of mechanics, metalworking and aircraft was manifested through his career as a Royal Canadian Air Force Maintenance Officer, as well as a second career as a metal teacher at Grant Park High School. His passion for working with his hands was matched with his desire to explore the world. A true romantic, Ed constantly looked at all aspects of life from a perspective of awe and he gained great pleasure in supporting his wife and children in their different pursuits. A dedicated husband of 67 married years, Ed shared many experiences with Elsie, from cruises, to bridge parties and exercise classes. Ballroom dancing was one of Ed's great passions and his fitness in his senior years was an example to many. A quiet yet effective leader, Ed sat as the chair of many organizations. School board, Strata Communities, Aerospace Institutions and many others benefited from Ed's cooperative skills and positive influence. A positive example to many and loved by virtually all who knew him, Ed Erhart will be sorely missed but never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, please donate on Ed's behalf to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Dale; Sorry to hear about the passing of your father. I remember when you brought a CF-18 home to show your father, I am sure he was really proud of you, the way I was of your career with 402 Squadron Ronald W. Salome L/Col ret. - Posted by: Ronald Salome (Family) on: Apr 10, 2007
