ARDYTHE JEAN LAWSON On Sunday, March 18, 2007, Ardythe Jean Lawson of Minnedosa, Manitoba, and formerly of Selkirk, Manitoba, passed away peacefully at the Minnedosa Personal Care Home surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Harry Lawson; and her parents Robert and Jean Chisholm. Ma will be sadly missed by her four sons and their families, Greg and Kathy (nee Johnson), Jeff and Jacqueline; Tim and Jean (nee Comrie), Kimberlee, Meagan and Scott; Chris and Brenda (nee Mason), Tamara, Sean and Keir; Brad and Fiona (nee Wallis), A.J., Danny, William and Chloe. Also surviving Ardythe are her sisters, Mildred Drayson and Betty Chisholm; her brother Marc Chisholm (Elaine); and her brother-in-law Albert Lawson (Isabel). Ardythe was born on August 19, 1932, in Birdtail River, Manitoba. Her family and volunteer work provided her with endless joy. Ardythe was a very giving person and was instrumental to the opening of The House of Economy and the establishment of the Handivan in Selkirk. Ardythe will always be remembered as Ma to her children and grandchildren. Ma brought a new twist to the lives of all who met her - always fun and always there to be a listener when you needed one most. Three years ago, following the passing of her husband Harry, she came to reside in Minnedosa. Life had been tough for Ma for a number of years, as she fought a difficult battle with her illness. The family finds comfort knowing that she can now rest in peace. A private family interment will take place at a later date. If friends so desire, donations in Ardythe's memory may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association or the Minnedosa Personal Care Home. Minnedosa Funeral Service in care of arrangements.
