SEBASTIANA VASSALL
Born: Dec 23, 1921
Date of Passing: Mar 18, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIn Loving Memory Of SEBASTIANA VASSALLO Born December 23, 1921 in Palazzolo, Italy Went to rest March 18, 2007 Peacefully, on March 18, 2007, with her family at her side, Sebastiana (Nella) Vassallo, at the age of 85 years, passed away. Nella (Mother, Grandmother and Friend) will be sadly missed as she leaves to mourn her daughter Anna Aragona who lives in Belgium; her son Rosario (Alfa) Vassallo, and her daughter Catena (Glenn) De Jong. Nella was predeceased by her husband Cateno Vassallo, 1955; her daughter Domenica Cammarata, August 3, 1998; son-in-law Michele Aragona in Belgium and her parents, Sebastiano and Domenica Rovella. She also leaves to mourn a big family in which grandma (Nonna) had a hand in raising, 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Along with many friends from the Lansdowne and the Maples congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Nella was born on December 23, 1921 in Palazzolo, Italy and was happily married for 15 years. Her husband died after a long illness at a very young age and Nella faithfully, and with great strength, lovingly raised her family. She came to Winnipeg in 1964 and worked at TanJay for 12 years as a seamstress and retired in 1987. Nella was always caring and loving to everyone she met. Her grandchildren were especially dear to her. She was always a part of their lives and did more than one could ever expect from a grandmother. She was our pillar in life and our friend. She was always concerned that her family was well cared for. Whenever anyone was sick or sad, there she was by our side, loyally giving us her strength to continue. Grandma's cooking was one of the many qualities she was known for along with her infectious smile and her love for long walks. Nella had been a dedicated and baptized servant of Jehovah since January 30, 1988, and for many years was a zealous, faithful publisher of the good news until ill health prevented her from having a greater share in what she knew was the most important work she could do, telling others about the Bible's promise for a better future. She shared her unwavering faith in Jehovah's new world wherein there would be no more pain and sorrow. Like the apostle Paul she could say: I have hope toward God .. that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. (Acts 24:15) e ho in Dio la speranza .. che vi sarà una risurrezione sia dei giusti che degli ingiusti. She also looked forward to the time when the fulfillment of Revelation 21:4 would be a reality where John said: And He (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Ed egli asciugherà ogni lagrima dai loro occhi, e la morte non sarà più, né vi sarà più cordoglio né grido né pena. Le cose precedenti sono pasate. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her. She was a kind, loving and generous lady.
