IRENE MARIE CLIFFORD (née LAFORTUNE) On March 21, 2007 at Taché Centre, Mrs. Iréne Marie Clifford, aged 95 years, dearly beloved wife of William Vincent Clifford, predeceased on December 8, 1978. Mrs. Clifford is lovingly survived by her daughter Jacqueline Mazzelli of Victoria, BC; her son James H. Clifford of New Jersey; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Clifford was born in Woodrige, MB on September 24, 1911. She was the second oldest of 14 LaFortune children, ten girls and four boys. Surviving from the family are four sisters, Marguerite, Ida, Georgette and Anita. Predeceased by her parents, George and Eugénie LaFortune; brothers, Joseph, Marcien, Hubert and Edouard; and sisters, Berthe, Jeannette, Cécile, Thérèse and Yvonne. A special thank you is extended to the staff at Taché Centre for the excellent care which Mom received over the last seven years. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will take place on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St, with Fr. Ron Léger , c.s.v. presiding. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
