Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALFRED SHOLIKOWSKI It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather (Bobby), brother, uncle and friend, Alfred Sholikowski, on Monday, March 19, 2007. Left to cherish his memory are his wife and best friend Edythe; mother-in-law Helen Jeising; son Ronald and children, Amanda, Tyler and Carly; son Leonard (Gerrie), Amber (Ryan Huber) and Cory; daughter Debbie (Gordon), Andrew and Katrina Wiebe; Uncle Bill Chorney (Enderby, BC); sisters, Josie (John) Gorchynski and Helen (Donald) Slavuta; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family; special friend Dave De La Ronde and many other friends. Alfred was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Caroline (Chorney), brothers, Walter, John and Bert; sister Clara Kosteletsky and good friend Ron Kohut. Alfred was born March 29, 1936 in Fisher Branch, MB. He ventured in many employment experiences from working in the bush to working for the City of Winnipeg for many years. He truly enjoyed his challenging jobs (not only was he a Jack of all trades - but truly the master of all as well. ) He loved his involvement with the Amcor Fencing crew as they loved having him as a valued team member! He loved helping everyone else whether it was driving to go hunting, fishing, berry or mushroom picking; mainly enjoying the outdoors - Lee River romantic getaways (with Edye of course). Alfred's hobbies also included being an excellent chef and baker - having multi-daily telephone conversations with his sister Josie and niece Carol Re: Recipes - successes. He loved music and watching old Western movies. Alfred was notorious for giving and collecting hugs, this is one of his truly memorable traits. We love you Alfred. Thank you for being such an important part of our lives. We will love you always! Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 23, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Pastor Alan Armstrong officiating. Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Eden Funeral Home 4477 Main Street 338-7111
