KATHRYNE WILMA COOK Kathryne Wilma Cook (nee Reilly), aged 83 years, of Stonewall, MB, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 21, 2007. Wilma was born April 7, 1923, in Winnipeg, MB, to Benjamin and Kathryne Reilly. Wilma is survived by her beloved sister Etta (Ralph) Bardwell of Orlando, FL; one daughter Joan (Fred) Palm of Sebring, FL; two grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin in 1936 and Kathryne in 1980; infant son Arthur in 1946; sister Ina in 1975. Wilma worked as a medical stenographer at the Abbot Clinic in Winnipeg for 12 years. She did dressmaking and alterations out of the home for 25 years. She loved to sew, knit, crochet and was very crafty. Wilma loved animals and got great enjoyment from her visits with the bunnies and Dakota at Rosewood Lodge. Wilma moved to Crocus Manor in 2000 and then to Rosewood Lodge in 2006 until present. Wilma and Auntie Woey will be lovingly remembered and so deeply missed by her very special friends Lynn, Glen, Erin and Jena Massey and Pepper. The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, Stonewall Hospital and Rosewood Lodge for their caring and compassion. Also, thanks to Sydney for her special little visits to Wilma at Rosewood. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main St., Stonewall. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Wilma's memory may be sent to The Winnipeg Humane Society, Stonewall Hospital or Canadian Diabetes Association. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
