JOSE (JOE) FURTADO It is with deep sadness that the family of José announces his passing on March 21, 2007, at the age of 75. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Maria; daughters, Connie (René), Maria (Richard); grandchildren, Matthew, Danielle, Megan, Joseph, Morgan, David, Adam, Eric and Aaron. Joe is also survived by his brothers in Acores; Manuel (Maria de Carmo), Luis, Mariano (Conceicao); in Ontario Joao (Fernanda), Eduardo (Maria José), Giulherne (Zelia) and many nieces and nephews. Joe was born on November 18, 1931, in Sao Miguel, Acores. He married his wife on May 1, 1961, and immigrated to Canada in May 1967. He worked at Conforce for 25 years until his retirement. Special thanks to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital and Riverview Palliative nurses and doctors. Prayers will be held on Friday, March 23 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Inkster. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street N. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
