DOUGLAS EDWARD BOYCHUK Mr. Doug Boychuk, aged 55 years, beloved husband of Carol, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at his home. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Carol; his sons, Cam, Eric and Dave; his sisters, Fran (Oscar), Margaret (Ted), Patsy (Joe); and brothers, Lorne (Cindy), Stanley (Joanne), George (Cheryl), Gordon (Peggy) and Peter (Deanne), his mother-in-law Dorothy and father- in-law Norman Kroken, his mother-in-law Sarah Klassen, sister-in-law Reta (Vince), brother-in-law Andy (Gail); and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Erin; and his parents, Bohdan and Josephine Boychuk. Doug was a man of many talents. He was a wonderful cook, an avid hunter and fisherman. He could repair anything that ran with a motor. Doug enjoyed the simple things of life. Sitting around a Saturday night bonfire or a snowmobile ride on a nice day were Doug's idea of a good time. He was always a helpful neighbour, willing to lend a hand. Everyone knew that the coffee pot was always on at Doug's. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour, MB, with Rev. Jeff Kilmartin officiating. The service will terminate at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a trust fund set up for Doug's children, Eric and Dave Boychuk, at the South Interlake Credit Union, Beausejour Branch, Box 340, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
