Date of Passing: Mar 19, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCONSTANCE (CONNIE) EVELYN GOULDING 1917 - 2007 With deep regret we announce the peaceful passing of Connie, on Monday, March 19, 2007, at Tuxedo Villa with her family by her side, at the age of 89 years. Remaining to forever cherish Connie's memory are her devoted husband Cecil; daughters, Maureen (Hugh), Wendy (Jim); beloved grandchildren, Karen (Sheldon), Tracey, Michelle (Jay); and great-grandchildren, Daniel, Lisa and Kyla. Predeceasing Connie were her parents, Harold and Alma Maw; and sister Alma. Born in Darlington Durham, England to Harold and Alma Maw, she met Cec while he was serving in the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War, and both were happily in love. Connie and Cec were married on September 25, 1947, in Winnipeg, and following the ceremony left on an extended trip to Fort Nelson, BC, where Cec was stationed. They were stationed at several Canadian bases and a tour at Langar, England during Cec's military career. Connie lived life to the fullest, whether it was golfing, playing bridge, exercising at the Re-Fit Centre or curling. Connie and Cec enjoyed many happy holidays and cruises over the past years, and the presence of her childhood friends Wynn and Ben Benjamin of England added immensely to their enjoyment. Maureen and Wendy accompanied their mum on numerous trips to one of her favourite destinations, Hawaii. Cec and our family express appreciation to the staff at Tuxedo Villa for their loving care and professionalism towards this lovely lady. In keeping with Connie's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held and a private family gathering will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Connie's memory to a charity of one's choice or to The Salvation Army, 500 - 55 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8. Connie's arrangements have been entrusted to Manitoba's largest Original Family Owned Funeral Service Provider: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 4665
