Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARVIN R. ISFJORD 1939 - 2007 Peacefully surrounded by the love of his family, we announce the passing of our father, grandpa and brother Marvin who left us on March 18, 2007, at the age of 67. Marvin was predeceased by his loving wife Jean of 35 years; his parents, Norman and Katie; his sister Katherine; brothers-in-law, Art, Jimmy, Walter and Donald; sister-in-law Daisy; and his niece Joanne. Dad is survived and lovingly remembered by his children, Debbie (Brad), Kim (Laurence), Maureen (John), Nancy (Cam), Lise (Danny), Raymond (Charlene); his grandchildren, Tyler, Alex, Chelsea, Kolton, Austin and Harlan; his brothers, Elert (Darlene), Norman (Josie), Herman (Verda); and his sisters, Norma, Margaret, Thelma, Patsy (Jimmy); and his good friend Maria. Marvin will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends. Marvin was born on September 23, 1939, in Gimli. He worked in many occupations: truck driver, meat cutter, custodian; he retired with the Town of Gimli as a heavy equipment operator. Dad enjoyed many hobbies and was very artistic. He enjoyed carpentry and would build anything you needed. He was a very talented oil painter and painted many pictures and sketches in his earlier years, most of which he would give away. Dad and Mom loved being out on Willow Island, fishing off shore or in the Mar-Jean up North near Washow Bay. Dad loved his farm where he would feed, watch the birds and deer, cut wood to stoke his fire and be part of the Fall hunt with his son and sons-in-law. In his later years Dad became quite a good golfer and enjoyed his golf with his dear friend Maria. Dad also had a lot of fun with all his bowling buddies. Dad had a great sense of humour and always had a short story to tell and always had an off joke to share - sometimes more than once. Good One! We would like to thank Dr. R.C. Patel and the nursing staff of the Gimli Hospital for all their support and wonderful care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marvin's memory to the Gimli District Health Auxiliary - Palliative Quiet Room, Box 1398, Gimli, Manitoba R0C 1B0. Service will be held at the Waterfront Centre, 5th Floor - 94 1st Ave., Gimli, MB, at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 26, 2007. Dad and Mom are now together on the heavenly waters in the Mar-Jean and Mom is still catching more fish than Dad. NEIL BARDAL INC 949-2200 nbardal.mb.ca
