ERNEST RONALD HAMMERSLEY Suddenly on March 22, 2007, Ernest Ronald Hammersley passed away. Ernie was born on the family farm on April 23, 1936, to Albert and Florence Hammersley. He attended school at Orange Ridge and Birnie. He took a TV electronic course and worked for Bob Ferris in Neepawa and then on his own. He took over the family farm and was still actively farming up to the last. After getting out of livestock he concentrated on grain farming and he turned the barn into a shop and operated a repair business. In 1964, he married Linda Kjartanson from Birnie and together they raised their three children on the farm. Ernie is survived by his wife Linda; sons, Derryll (Nadine), Doug (Tammy) and daughter Karen (Bing) and two grandsons, Bradley Hammersley and Dillon Yee; brother Art (Polly); sisters, Mildred (Ralph), Wynn (Steve), Kay (Dick); brother-in-law Bill Kerntoph and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; an infant son at birth; sisters, Doreen Heinz and Joyce Kerntoph and brother-in-law Jack Heinz. A private family service will take place. Friends are invited to join the family for a time of fellowship at the United Church C.E.C., Neepawa, Manitoba, on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at 2:30 p.m. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Neepawa, Manitoba. White's Funeral Home in care of arrangements. 476-2848
