Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAROLD ROSS MILLER Peacefully on March 22, 2007, at the Dauphin General Hospital, with his nieces by his side, Harold Ross Miller, aged 81 years, of Ashern, MB. Harold was born on December 21, 1925, in Mapleton, MB. He grew up in the Camper area and attended the Dog Lake School. He joined the Army during the Second World War and after the war came back to Camper and married Minnie Schindle. He farmed on the home place for a number of years and then moved to Ashern. He worked away from home as a waiter and bartender. Harold moved his family to Winnipeg in approximately 1954 and continued to be employed as a bartender in the Brooklands and Charleswood areas. Harold then joined the City of Winnipeg as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. Harold and his wife Minnie returned to Ashern in 2002 until his passing. Harold was predeceased by his wife Minnie, a daughter Debbie, his father Jack and mother Beatrice as well as his brother Huck and his sisters, Edith Sanderson and Lorna Simon. Harold is survived by his daughters, Carol (Don) McKay of Qualicum Beach, BC, and Donna Ackert of Whitehorse, Yukon, grandsons, Stephen McKay, Jonathan (Beth) McKay and great-granddaughter Emily all of Calgary, along with nieces, nephews and good friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2007, at the Ashern Legion Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment to follow at the Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ashern Personal Care Home, PO Box 110, in care of Sharon Benedictson to be used for resident activities. Arrangements by ARNASON FUNERAL HOMES LTD.
