MARY SOKOLIUK (nee CHOBOTAR) Surrounded by her family at St. Boniface Hospital on Sunday, March 25, 2007, Mary passed away at the age of 64, after a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband Paul; sons, Dwayne and Alan; grandson Logan; mother Dora Chobotar; mother-in-law Ann Sokoliuk; brothers, Alex (Darlene), John (Carole), Martin (Nell), Walter (Frances), Bill (Janet); brothers-in-law, Ben (Clover), George (Carol), Orest (Audrey), Emil (Jackie), Laurence (Cathy); many nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will take place at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., on Thursday, March 29, 2007, at 12:30 p.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a donation in memory of Mary may be made to Manitoba CancerCare, On1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9, or to a charity of one's choice.
