MATHILDA (TILLIE) MEISNER With sorrow in our hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our Loved one, Mathilda Meisner, on March 25, 2007, at the Lakeshore General Hospital, at the age of 80 years, with family by her side. She is now reunited with loved ones who have gone before her and is now eternally at peace. Mom was born on October 27, 1926. Mom and Dad got married on November 10, 1945, and farmed together in the Bayton District until retiring in Moosehorn in 1972. In 1998 she sold her house in town and moved into the Moosehorn Heritage Villa and lived there until 2001. With her health failing, she moved into the Eriksdale Personal Care Home and later into the Ashern Personal Care Home and resided there until her passing. Remaining to cherish her memory are her children, Marline (Roy), Larry (Marlene), Barbara (Wayne), Robert (Odette), Janis, Douglas (Loretta), Melvin (Kelly), Deryl (Patty), 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, sister Evelyn (Arthur), brothers, Harold and Arthur (Marje), sisters-in-law, Christine, Hilda, and Edna and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband William, her parents, Bernard and Ida Bittner, daughter Sharon, great-grandchild Andrew, four sisters, four brothers, daughter-in-law Janice, son-in-law Cliff, three sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law. Viewing will be held on Friday, March 30, 2007, from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Arnason Funeral Home in Ashern. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2007, at the Peace Lutheran Church in Moosehorn, MB, with Rev. Jane Zinken officiating. Interment to follow at St. Thomas Cemetery, Bayton. Viewing also one hour prior to the service at the church. Active pallbearers will be Winston, Wyatt, and Malcom Beaudry, Danny, Leroy, Owen, Evan, Ryan, and Cole Meisner. The family would like to thank Mom's friends for their encouragement and support, all the homecare workers that she has had over the years, the Care home staff, Pat and Greg in Maintenance, the doctors, nurses and staff at the Lakeshore General Hospital. Thank You, Sharon Benedictson for being there for Mom and all the care home residents - you are very special to them all.
