MARGE CLAIRMONT (nee STAMPNICK) (ROMANIUK) June 10, 1933 - March 25, 2007 It is with deep sadness we announce the passing on March 25, 2007, of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Marge Clairmont at the age of 73, on her granddaughter Tammy Angel's birthday. She was predeceased by her first love, Paul Romaniuk, her mother and father Katie and Frank Stampnick, sisters, Carol and Virginia and stepdaughter-in-law Ursula. Greatly loved and respected, she leaves to mourn her husband Arthur Clairmont, daughter Maureen Moss (David), son Grant Romaniuk (Lauri), granddaughter Tammy Paizen (Chris), great-grandchildren, Tristin and Tyra, son-in-law John Schaap, stepdaughters, Marian (Larry), Evelyn (Brian), stepsons, Adrien (Sylvia), Rheal (Debbie) and all the extended grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as Morris the cat. Marge was born and raised in the Oakbank area. She loved everything about living on the farm, including gardening and her animals. She loved to cook and bake, and was known to make the best perogies. She spent many happy years in Oakbank, then met and married Art in 1982. She then moved to Winnipeg where she resided until present. Over their last 25 years of marriage, she and Art enjoyed travelling, fishing, playing cards and especially bowling! But her most favourite and cherished time was when her two little angels Tristin and Tyra would come for a visit and sleep-over every week, until she got too ill. Marge had a love for feeding people, whenever you went for a visit, the first thing she would do is get out the food. She loved family get-togethers and was always rushing around, keeping everything running smoothly. Mom also really looked forward to her annual pet-sitting vacations back in the country. Marge was best known for her gentle giving spirit. She was one of the most generous people to walk the earth, and having lived her life with such dignity and kindness, she inspired us to live better lives of our own. She has given us a lifetime of happy memories and will live on in our hearts forever. Marge fought very hard to stay with us, but God saw that she was getting weary and took her as one of his angels. The family would like to express words of thanks to the doctors and nurses at Seven Oaks Hospital 3rd floor Unit 5, for all of their care and compassion. A ceremony celebrating Marge's life will be held on Saturday March 31 in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue West, at 1:00 p.m. A private family service to follow the reception at Sunnyside Cemetery.
