SHIRLEY FLORENCE EPP August 11, 1923 - March 23, 2007 Very gently Shirley slipped from us after a courageous battle with cancer. Shirley was born and raised in Winkler, Manitoba. She moved to Winnipeg after her marriage to Jake in 1943. She began her working career in retail at The Bay. When Polo Park opened she moved to Sears where she worked until she left to work alongside dad. Together they built their dream business, St. James Sports Center. Through their business Mom made many friends. By following Dad as he played and coached baseball, she became involved with more friends and shared holidays and good times with them. Much of mom's time was taken up by her involvement with the goings on of the sports world, her home activities, her frequent shopping and her bird watching. She will be sadly missed by her husband Jake, son and daughter-in-law Barry and Kate, daughter and son-in-law Pat and Tom, daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Chris, son and daughter-in-law Cecil and Jacqueline, her 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A family service was held for Shirley on Tuesday, March 27, 2007. There will be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain.
