Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORRAINE MAY BILLINGS (nee MORIN) Peacefully surrounded by the love of family and friends, we announce the passing of Lorraine on March 27, 2007, at the age of 55, after a courageous battle with cancer. Lorraine will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Allen of 23 years; mother Joyce; brothers and sisters, Beverly (Samuel), Janice, Donald (Patti); Barbara (Allen), Wallace (Alana); brothers-in-law, Donald, Kenny, Fred West; sisters-in-law, Eletha Marcellius, Peggy; and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Lorraine was predeceased by her daughter Nadine; father Allen; stepson Jeffery; as well as her grandparents and three brothers-in-law, also numerous aunts and uncles. Lorraine was born on May 13, 1951, in Winnipeg. She was raised on the family farm in Inwood and was the oldest of six children. She worked in many occupations in different provinces where upon she met Al in Uranium City. They were married in 1983. They lived in Winnipeg until they moved back to the family farm in 1999. Lorraine was well known for her love of animals and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Hunter Memorial Hospital for their care of Lorraine. Also special thank-you to Jan Lambourne for her many hours spent with Lorraine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Liliane Baron South Interlake Breast Cancer Support Group, Box 10, Teulon, MB R0C 3B0, or the Winnipeg Humane Society. Prayers will be held on Friday, March 30 at 7:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon, MB. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 31 at 10:00 a.m. at the Teulon Rockwood Centennial Centre. Interment will follow at St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Inwood, MB. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
