KAZMIR JOHN STOCKI Peacefully, at the Fred Douglas Lodge on the morning of March 27, 2007, Kazmir Stocki passed away at the age of 90. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Anne; sons, Val (Arlene) and Ed (Terry); seven grandchildren, Kathy (Joe), Michael (Chantal), Douglas (Jamie), Elaine, Carol, E. J. and Kali; and three great-grandsons, Nolan, Hudson and Oliver. He also leaves to mourn two sisters, Helen and Jean. Kazmir was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary, his brother Joseph and sisters, Carrie and Millie. Kazmir born on January 8, 1917 on the family farm in Zbaraz, MB. He continued to farm as a young man and married Anne Kernot on June 19, 1948. Kazmir moved his family to Winnipeg in 1958 so that his sons could attend school in the city. In later years, he was a wonderful grandpa and more recently, a delighted great-grandpa. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. G. Benningen, staff at the Health Sciences Centre and the Fred Douglas Lodge for all their care and support, especially in the past few months. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 30 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Fisher Branch, MB. Interment to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Zbaraz, MB. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
