PAUL KOWALYK April 9, 1937 March 25, 2007 Our much beloved husband, father, brother, and friend passed away suddenly from a heart attack on March 25, 2007. Paul grew up on a farm near Sifton, Manitoba and then went on to obtain an engineering degree at the University of Manitoba. In his professional life, Paul was proud to serve as a civil engineer with the City of Winnipeg for more than 30 years. He met and married Yvonne with whom he shared a wonderful 42 years. Paul happily raised his three children Martine, Edward, and Kristy in St. Vital. He enjoyed being an active participant in scouting activities, especially Klondike Days. Following his retirement in 1998, he moved to Sechelt, British Columbia. Paul devoted many hours caring for his cherished garden and as a hobby fished for crab off the Davis Bay pier. Words cannot express how deeply he will be missed by his wife, children, sons-in-law, John and Tony, brother Peter (and Nellie), and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at the Seaside Centre in Sechelt on Saturday, March 31 at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
