BEATRICE WALKER (nee CAMPBELL) On March 28, 2007, it was with a confusing mixture of sorrow and joy that our family commended the soul of Beatrice Walker to Heaven. Her strong, honest and steadfast nature showed all who knew her the inherent goodness that is within our reach. We thank her for her guidance and teachings in shaping our moral characters. Bea was born November 1, 1912, and was predeceased by her husband George; her many sisters and brothers; and her long time companion Sam Bailey. She is survived by her sons, Bruce (Lorraine), Glen (Sharon); daughter Lori Spearman; and niece Sheila Carmody; grandchildren, Donna (Chris), Michele, Cindy (Tom), Arlyn (Leigha), Curtis (Devon) and Kent; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Madison, Devyn, Mareigha and Juliet. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bea loved travelling, particularly to Hawaii, and sports such as golf, bowling and baseball. She was a life member of the Duke of Kent Legion Branch No. 119 Ladies Auxiliary, and a longtime Secretary of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Provincial Command. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at the River East Personal Care Home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 1 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., followed by funeral service on Monday, April 2 at 2:00 p.m., also at the chapel, with Rev. Michael Boulger presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bea's memory may be made to a charity of your choice. ALOHA, BEA CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
