Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE DEMANIUK George Demaniuk passed peacefully in his sleep on March 24, 2007, in his 87th year at St. Boniface Hospital. He was born in Gardenton, MB, on March 6, 1921. He grew up in Gardenton and moved to Winnipeg where he was employed by C.P. Rail until his retirement in 1984. He met and married Anne Kowaliuk and raised their family of three children until her untimely demise. George loved the outdoors and actively participated in the early construction of Camp Veselka. He also had many enjoyable years with his many friends and family at the family cottage at Otter Falls in the Whiteshell. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Anne (nee Sichkar); children, Judy (Michael), Brian (Darlene), Patricia; grandchildren, David (Janice), Catherine (Chris), Tanya (Wayne), Mark; and great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Brayden. He was predeceased by his parents, Vasyl and Dokia, brothers, John, Nick, Alex and sister Olga. Prayers will be held on Monday, April 2 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 3 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Chapel with Very Rev. Fr. H. Lakusta presiding. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
