PHILIP BERMAN Phil died peacefully on Monday, March 19, 2007, at the Sharon Home at the age of 94. He was born October 23, 1912, in Dubno, Poland, the youngest son of Lazar and Sluva Berman. He came to Canada in 1925. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Leah Berman, Rae Feldman, Alan Berman and Benjamin Berman; and by his special friend Sophie Eskow. He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Sylvia and Lorne Cristall (Vancouver), Bonnie and Alan Beugen (Minneapolis), Ivor and Sharna Berman, Rhoda and Larry Kussin, and Lynne and Michael Mitchell (Toronto); and many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews. He was a generous man with a wonderful sense of humour who lived life according to his values and principles. He was well loved by his family and friends. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 21 at the Hebrew Sick Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Sharon Home.
