In Memory WINIFRED (MARY) REID (1930 - 2007) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mary Reid (nee Porter) on Saturday, March 24, 2007. After losing her courageous battle with cancer, Mary passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in 1930 and raised in Killarney, Manitoba. From there she moved to Winnipeg, where she met and married her loving husband, Cummings. Mary had successful careers and was a homemaker, devoted wife and mother. Throughout her life Mary touched the lives of all those she met and had many friends. Mary lived life to the fullest - she loved gardening, bird watching, knitting, baking (her butter tarts were heavenly), traveling, playing bridge and most of all spending time partying with her friends and family (she was seen from time to time with a cool glass of white wine in her hands). She will be sadly missed by all her friends and especially by her loving and devoted husband Cummings; two sons, Doug and Tim and wife Bev and grandson Colin. She is also survived by her sister Marge (Benito, Manitoba); brother Bryan and wife Lois (Calgary, Alberta); and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents Robert and Nellie Porter; and brother Hugh. A memorial service will be held at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Highway, on Thursday, April 5, 2007, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Mary's memory to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 Henderson Hwy. - 338-0331 www.klassenfuneralhome.com
