Phyllis will be sadly missed by her children, Ivan (Doris) Campbell, Patricia Landolfo, Judith (Donald) Dufrat, Elizabeth and Warren Woods all of Winnipeg MB; her grandchildren, Patrick (Cindy) Campbell of Calgary, Derrick (Kathi) Campbell of Ottawa and Raymond (Darla) Campbell of Toronto, Kevin (Carolyn) Landolfo of Augusta, GA, Dianne (Hal) Dreger of Beausejour and Audrey (William) Mendieta of Vancouver; and her great-grandchildren, Chantel, Karen, Andrew, Caitlin and Natalie Campbell, Gabriela and Olivia Landolfo, Aric, Faryn and Bethany Dreger, William, Selena and Tatiana Mendieta. Phyllis was predeceased by her children, Ronald and Faye Campbell, her husband Earl Woods, parents, John and Kate Saunders, brother John and sisters, Eleanor, Dorothy, Daisy and Madeline. Phyllis was born in Roseisle, Manitoba, on March 15, 1909. She grew up on the family farm at the foot of the Pembina Hills where she attended Eldorado School with her siblings. In 1927 Phyllis married Charles Campbell and they lived in rural Manitoba communities including Roseisle and Souris. This was a difficult period in Phyllis's life when in July of 1937 she lost two children in a tragic drowning accident. Phyllis married Earl Woods in 1941 and they farmed in the Rosebank area until Earl joined the Manitoba Pool Elevators. Phyllis and Earl lived in Manson and Minto, retiring to Brandon in 1976 and later relocating to Winnipeg. Phyllis spent her last few years at Lindenwood Manor where she made many good friends. Phyllis was a member of the United Church of Canada since her early Sunday School years in Roseisle. She enjoyed her association with the C.G.I.T., sang in many church choirs, and was an active participant and a life member in the United Church Women's organization (UCW). She was also a member of the Women's Institute of Canada for many years. In the spring of 2006 Phyllis joined the congregation of the Westworth United Church. Although she was not able to attend services she appreciated the spiritual support of Reverend Saunders. The family wishes to thank the staff on the third floor at Victoria General Hospital, and the staff of the Misericordia Health Centre for their exceptional care and kindness during our mother's last few months. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 13, at 2:00 p.m. at the Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. THOMSON IN THE PARK FUNERAL HOME AND CEMETERY 1291 MCGILLIVRAY BLVD WWW.THOMSONINTHEPARK.COM 925-1120
