ALPHONSINE DESMARAIS (nee NOLIN) 1918 - 2007 We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 1, 2007, after a battle with cancer at the Taché Nursing Home. Mom was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba, on March 14, 1918. She worked at Taché Nursing Home for 20 years till her retirement. She had been a resident of Chez Nous for over 30 years until her recent move to Taché Nursing Home. She was the last surviving member of her family. Mom will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Ernie (Anita), Cecile (Gerard) Dubois, Annette (Denis) Gobeil, Alice (Ben) Pelland, Lilliane (Marcel) Jeanson; 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was a woman of tremendous faith, integrity, pride and fiercely proud of her heritage. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St., with viewing one hour prior to the service.
