ALPHONSE ALFRED CHARLES LABELLE March 22, 1939 - April 3, 2007 Suddenly and unexpectedly on April 3, 2007, Alphonse passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 68 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Solange (Tardiff) of 44 years of marriage; his son Daniel (Diane); and daughters, Adeline (Glen Richardson) and Rachel (Danny Brown); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Logan, Jordan, Derek, Tristen and Dylan; his siblings, Dora (Harry), Rose, Yvonne, Ernest (Denise), Irene, Lucien (Marjorie), Pauline, Rita (Aime), Teresa (Albert), Phylis (Omer), Henry, Lydia (Jim), Edward (Jackie), George (Rosie), Georgina (John), Darlene (Tom), Denise (Edgar); along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and many friends. Alphonse was predeceased by his parents Laura (Tetrault) and Fidela Labelle; his brothers-in-law, Arthur (Curly) Ogg, Arthur Beheyt and Sylvio Plamondon. Alphonse was born at Makinak, MB, on March 22, 1939. He moved to Ste. Rose du Lac in 1961 and married Solange Tardiff in 1962. Having his plumbing trade, he started the company Ste. Rose Plumbing and Heating and grew from there. Alphonse had a multitude of business interests including Ste. Rose Eavestroughing, as well as a backhoe and gravel truck service, and along with three partners created Ste. Rose Concrete. Alphonse sold his shop in February of 2006 and began a well deserved retirement. Alphonse was active in the community of Ste. Rose all of his life. His greatest passion was the Ste. Rose Fire Department. In total, he offered 43 years of community service with the past 11 years serving as fire chief. Alphonse touched many lives and will be truly missed. Funeral service for Alphonse will be held on Saturday, April 7 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ste. Rose de Lima Roman Catholic Church. Fr. Paul Tinguely will officiate with the service concluding at the church. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in memory of Alphonse to the Ste. Rose Fire Department or to the Heart Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Ste. Rose Memorial Chapel, Ste.
