PHAT DAI (SCOTTY) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Scotty on Wednesday, March 28, 2007. Peacefully surrounded by loved ones, Scotty lost the courageous battle with cancer that took him away from us at such a young age of only 39. Scotty was known to many and was a very gifted chef. He also loved golfing; doing his football picks; fishing; and the Lake of the Woods held a special place in his heart. We will always remember and miss his laugh, his upbeat spirit, his sense of humour, and generosity. His kind, easy-going personality made it easy for him to build many strong friendships which make it hard to list all of them. He was loved by many. Special thanks goes out to Seven Oaks Hospital Oncology Ward, Dr. Lezack and nurses Debbie and Janet. Thanks also to the nurses and staff at the St. Boniface Hospital Ward 5E, particularly Dr. Shepeticky and Dr. Freeman. We would also like to acknowledge the care and compassion of all the homecare staff, especially Rachael M. Thank you, Susan and Dave, for taking good care of Scotty in his final months and making him as comfortable as possible. Your kindness and love will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 1160 - 475 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Funeral service 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 7 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. I am sorry my friend that we lost touch and that I was not there for you..I had no idea you were so ill. I have visited this site many times in the past looking at your picture and remembering you in my own way..how many laughs we had and how kind-hearted you were. I would have left a message earlier if I had scrolled down so this is why I am leaving one now. Rest in peace my dear friend. you will be missed. - Posted by: Skip Gagnon (Scotty was my bestman) on: Oct 03, 2013
