Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD JAMES (TED) MANCER Passed away peacefully on April 1, 2007 at George Derby Centre in Burnaby, BC at age 92. Ted was predeceased by his wife Bette in 2001 after 63 years of marriage. He is sadly missed by his children, Marilyn Gillam (John) of Winnipeg, Alan (Kate) of Burnaby, BC, Suzanne Mancer (Jim) of Winnipeg, and Lois Coyle (Tom) of Victoria, BC; grandchildren, Janis, Gillian, Emma, Stephen, Elizabeth, Caitlin and great-grandchildren, Michael, Kevin, Phoebe, Hannah and Amelia. Ted loved his family and was loved deeply in return. He lived most of his life in Middlechurch, MB, farming at Petersfield, MB, until he and Bette retired to Kelowna, BC, in 1978. He continued to pursue his passion for gardening keeping his family, friends and neighbours well supplied with delicious fruit and vegetables and beautiful flowers. Ted had an inquisitive mind nourished by his lifelong love of books and music. He kept his wonderful sense of humour right up to the end of his life. His children thank the staff of Main South at George Derby Centre for their care and kindness. A private family service is planned.
