JOHN JAMES ROBSON Peacefully on April 1, 2007, John James Robson passed away in his sleep at his home on his 97th birthday. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Joan (Don), Martha (Ron) and Carol; grandchildren, David, Clayton, Kirstyn, Andy, Noel, Jaclyn and Kelsey, great-grandchildren, Cameron, Mackenzie, Kyle, Matthias and Ella; also brother-in-law Hugh Devion. John was predeceased by his wife Christina in 1993. John was born in Winnipeg on April 1, 1910. In 1938 he married Christina. He enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren especially when they came to visit at their summer lake cottage. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 12 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Winnipeg, Unit 10 - 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 4G2, in honour of his wife. As we stand on the sea shore, his ship sails off in the morning breeze. We stand watching until at last it fades and we sadly say, He is gone.
