WILLIAM ROBERT (BOB) HAYWARD December 26, 1905 - April 2, 2007 Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather Great-Grandfather and Uncle It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our father at the age of 101 years. He is survived by Ruth, his wife of 80 years; four children, Ruth Ilczuk, Doreen Frank, Robert and Rita Hayward and George Hayward; seven grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren. A lifetime resident of West Kildonan, he homesteaded with his parents and brother Charlie near Arborg and married his wife Ruth on August 6, 1927. He was a founder of the Aramak Club (snowshoeing) as well as the Forest and Stream Club (fishing and hunting) and was a volunteer blood donor for the Red Cross for many years. He was past master of Seven Oaks Masonic Lodge. His pride was his cottage at Lake Brereton which he built with his sons. A wonderful woodworker, he also built and sailed boats, furniture, kitchen cabinets and many momentos for his family. Bob worked for many years as a mechanical draftsman designing industrial equipment. He retired as a Director of Planning for Bird Construction. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service has been held. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Bob's memory to a charity of one's choice.
