MARJORIE AGNES (MASON) AHLBAUM At the age of 88, died March 9, 2007, in Jackson, Michigan, after a brief illness. She was born in Winnipeg August 12, 1918, to Marjorie and A.E.R (Tom) Mason. Marge graduated from Winnipeg General Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1942, married Marvin Ahlbaum in 1943, and moved to the United States in 1952. After a long career in nursing, she retired from Foote Hospital, Jackson, MI, in 1978. Marge was predeceased by her husband Marvin; brothers-in-law, Rev. Don Duff and Lloyd Colborne; and niece Betsey Vincent. Marge is survived by children, Karen (Patrick) Heeney and Ken (Heidi) Ahlbaum; her grandchildren, Debra Heeney, Jason Heeney, Katie (John) Begalla, Kenny, Blake, Brandon, Mathew, Mark, Emily Ahlbaum; her great- grandchildren, Bridgette Sutter and Bryce Begalla. Marge is also survived by her sisters, Pat Colborne, Iris (Ken) Vincent and Marguerite Duff. A memorial service was held on March 10 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Jackson, MI. Cremation has taken place and a family burial will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Marge's name be made to a charity of your choosing.
