JOHN LEHMAN ACRES SMITH It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Jack. He went to join his beloved wife Barbara on April 4, 2007. Dad spent his childhood in Transcona and also raised his own family there as well. In his early fifties he was transferred with his work at Domtar to Prince Albert, SK where they spent five years reconnecting with family who lived in the area and making many wonderful friends. From there they went on to Calgary where they lived and worked until his retirement in 1981. Moving back to the Winnipeg area after his retirement, Dad lived for his summers at the lake in Echo Bay, ON. Dad's family was the most important thing in the world to him and he was never happier than when surrounded by his kids, their families and all of their friends. He was proud of all of his grandchildren and all of them have a special connection to their Papa and will remember him with love. Jack was predeceased by his wife Barbara and his brother Nelson. He leaves to mourn his passing, son Tom and very special daughter-in-law Stephanie; daughters, Jane and Susan; grandchildren, Robbie, Lyle, Barbara, Dale, Steven and Wendy; and great-grandson Scanlon Jack. We invite all family and friends to join us Saturday, April 14, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at CanadInns Club Regent Hotel, 1415 Regent Ave. to celebrate the life of this special man. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice. Goodbye Dad, we love you and will miss you always Tom, Jane and Susan
