JEROME (JERRY) KLUNER Jerome (Jerry) Kluner passed away peacefully on April 4, 2007, aged 69. Predeceased by parents, Ben and Sarah, and daughter Francine; he is survived by wife Hilda (Zimmerman), sister Boycie Kluner; children Alisa, Barry (Karen), Arlene; stepchildren Martin, Randy (Pat), Sherri (Michael); and grandchildren Tyler, Shayna, Dylan, Shawn, Evan, Matthew and Justin. He was the foundation of the family. More than anything, he wanted to see each of his children happy and would give anything to make that happen. His lessons were often unspoken, but never un-noticed. He taught by example; family was always first. His love for friends was second only to his love for family. His values were as strong as his heart was kind. He took joy in the simple things in life - fishing, gardening and a half-century devotion to Blue Bomber Football. He was an accomplished men's clothing connoisseur, the perfect-fit suited to each client, and he took pride in owning Thompson Pope GQ. He was Social Chairman of the Shriner's Khartum Sport Car Unit, and Mason of Menorah Lodge as well as Master for one year. His strength and determination throughout life carried him through his illness. He will be forever engraved in all of our hearts. He will be truly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Hospital and Cancer Care Manitoba for their everlasting care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Care Manitoba. Funeral services were held at Etz Chayim Synagogue on April 6, 2007. Interment at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery.

Jerry was my buddy driver in the sport car unit and a member with me in Scottish Rite and Menorah Masonry Lodge. I took over the Bradley from him and we attended many parades and fundraisers in Manitoba. In his life he exemplified the true Mason. He was honest steadfast and compassionate. He was slow to anger but where there was wrong doing and dishonesty he was quick to respond and fearless in his pursuit of truth and justice. As a friend he was always there to be counted on and supportive. He will never be forgotten and his deeds and memories live on.
