Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDANNY DIDUR It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Danny Didur on April 2, 2007, after a short but very courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by all his family when the heavens opened up and the angels came for him and guided him home. Danny was born to Metro and Mary Didur on January 11, 1950 in Ethelbert, MB. He was raised on the family farm in Garland. On June 29, 1974 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Jayne Yurkewich of Pine River. That same year he became employed with the Town of Dauphin and worked his way up to be the grader operator for the town, a career that lasted 33 wonderful years. Anyone who knew Danny knew work was never really work to him, it was a true passion and love. If only all of us could be so lucky. Danny also had a great passion for the outdoors, nature, gardening and just the natural things in life. Dad, we promise to always keep on top of the weeds and the flower gardens looking beautiful. In 1976 their son Cory was born, a spitting image of his father. Dad was always proud of that. In 1979 along came his baby girl Carla, a bond so strong only the two of them could ever understand. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. All who knew him know he would have walked to the end of the earth to help someone who needed him. He was strong no matter what came across our path, even when we found out he had cancer he didn't want any of us to worry. His now famous last words were It'll be okay! He never stopped worrying about us, right to the very end, but we promised him It'll be okay , and this is not the end it's till we meet again. He was predeceased by his brother Richard in 1998. He is survived by the love of his life Jayne, son Cory and daughter Carla and her husband Terry Genik. Two granddaughters, Trista (3) and Kristen (1) all of Dauphin. His parents to whom he was so proud of and devoted to, Metro and Mary Didur also of Dauphin. Brother Ernie and his wife Doreen of Winnipeg, and brother Sylvester and his wife Claire of Winnipeg. Many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and other extended family. Star Dad Dad, I love you and want you to know, I feel your love wherever I go. Whenever I've problems, you're there to assist, The ways you have helped me would make quite a list. Your wisdom and knowledge have shown me the way, And I'm thankful for you as I live day by day. I don't tell you enough how important you are, In my universe you're a bright shining star. Prayers will be sung at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10 from the Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Chapel in Dauphin. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated by the Reverend Father Oleg Bodnarski at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11 from the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection in Dauphin. Interment will follow in the Dauphin Riverside Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Danny's memory to Dauphin Palliative Care. Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Services 638-4110
