FREDERICK OSWALD Peacefully, with his family by his side, on Friday, April 6, 2007 at the Portage District General Hospital, Frederick Oswald of Portage la Prairie, beloved husband of Violet Oswald passed away at the age of 89 years. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Omega Funeral Home, Portage la Prairie, on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. with the reverend Julie Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside cemetery. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Violet; his daughters, Beverly (Bill) Shaddick of Londesboro, Ontario, Penny Birch of Neepawa, Pamela (Dale) Fries of Brandon, Jacqueline (Wesley) Caister of Portage; his grandchildren, Richard, Julia (Tim), Michelle (Grant), Melissa (Corey), Jennifer (Scott) , Rebecca, Ryan; his great-grandchildren, Keith, Sarah, Natalie, Claudine, Ethan, Adaline, Allison, Shane, Olivia, Katie-Lynn Rae and Conner. Also surviving are two sisters, Emma Foster of Saskatoon, Saskatchewen and Viola Oswald Rodgers of Neepawa, and sisters-in-law, Edna, Frieda, Truda, Edna, Norma, Noreen and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the funeral home for visitation on Wednesday evening April 11, 2007 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Portage General Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
