MARY ROSE ALMA SCHAUBROECK On April 6, 2007 at the Selkirk and District General Hospital, Rose Schaubroeck (nee Leclair), aged 67 years, of Selkirk, beloved wife of Norman. Rose was born in Winnipeg on May 12, 1939, was raised in St. Norbert and married Norman on August 31, 1957. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this August. Rose and Norm had resided in Selkirk since 1992 and she had been employed as a cook at the Selkirk Mental Health Center until retiring in 2000. Rose was a feisty lady who was friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand. She was a wonderful cook and also enjoyed watching TV and going for walks. Besides her husband Norman she leaves surviving her daughter Lorette (Lori) and her husband Daryle; her grandchildren, Leah and Rache; her mother Juliette; a brother Bill (Christine); sisters, Lucy, Jane, Aggie, Doris (Ron), and Mary-Lou, and many brother and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Doria; brothers, Henry, Frankie, George, and Paul and a sister Judy. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Fr. Jerry Talarski officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
