ANGELINA RODRIGUES (nee COSTA) March 22, 1927 - April 8, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Angelina on Sunday, April 8, 2007, with her family at her side, at the Grace Hospital, at the age of 80 years. Mom will be sadly missed by her children, José Manuel (Lina), Filomena (Artur) Medeiros, Mario Jorge (Brenda) and Teodora (José Duarte) Couto. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Cassandra, Alexander, Christopher, Angela, William and Melissa. She is also survived by her sister Adriana (Antonio) Lourenco and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband José, her parents, Joao and Clotilde, sisters, Maria, Mariana, Alice, Elvira, brothers, José, Antonio, Joao and Manuel. Angelina was born March 22, 1927 in Sao Miguel, Portugal. She came to Winnipeg February 17, 1974 with her children. Angelina spent the next few years raising her children and then taking care of her grandchildren, whom she adored. Mom's happiest day was Sunday, this was when we all gathered for lunch, she was the happiest with everyone around her. The family would like to thank the staff at Deer Lodge 6 East for all their care and compassion during her time there, as well as the nurses at Grace Hospital 3 North. Prayers will be held on Thursday, April 12 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Inkster. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 181 Austin St. N, with Rev. Fr. José Eduardo Medeiros officiating. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery at the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
