AGNES LAMIRANDE Peacefully on Sunday, April 8, 2007, at the Tudor House Personal Care Home, Selkirk, Manitoba, Agnes Lamirande, widow of the late Louis Lamirande, passed away at the age of 89 years. Prayers will be held at the St. Ambroise Roman Catholic Church on Friday, April 13, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Father Michael Wollbaum officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard cemetery. Agnes (Mama) was born in St. Ambroise on July 7, 1917, to Alexander and Melanie Lavallee, and lived her entire life at St. Ambroise. She married Louis Lamirande (Papa) on October 26, 1936, and together they raised their family. Mama was a great cook and seamstress. She always had a smile on her face. All who knew her loved her. She was known for decorating her home for all occasions. Mama will be sadly missed by her family. She left us with very beautiful memories to cherish. She was a great mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Predeceased by her parents; husband Louis; infant son Marcel; daughter Martha; two brothers; five sisters; Mama leaves to mourn her passing, son Raymond (Lillian) of St. Ambroise; daughter Jeannette (Greg) Gaudry; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Ida Lamirande, Mary Lamirande, Theresa Lavallee, Doreen Picard, Gertrude Gareau, and Edna Meilleur. Active pallbearers will be Louella Brandes, Glenda Ducharme, Lloyd Gaudry, Karen Lavallee, Vince Lamirande and Andrea Gaudry. Should friends so desire donations in memory of Agnes may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, PO Box 12013 STN B RM B, Toronto, ON M7Y 2L3. The family would like to thank the staff at the Tudor House Personal Care Home in Selkirk for all the care given to mama.
