EDITH M. REDFERN
Date of Passing: Apr 09, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDITH M. REDFERN 1938 - 2007 It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our Mom on April 9, 2007. Left to cherish her memory are her five children, Robert (Gisele), Ivy, Susan (Sandie), James (Marie), Hugh (Debbie); and many, many special grandchildren. Mom is also survived by her brothers, sisters, many nieces, nephews and their families. Mom was predeceased by our dad, Robert Redfern, October 19, 1994. Mom began her life in Brokenhead - something she talked often about. Later Mom moved to the city to start her married life. With five children she was kept very busy: cooking, gardening, knitting and often refereeing, no easy task. In those days life was difficult, but Mom always tried to do her best, we will always love her for that. There was always a full pot of tea to drink, even if you already drank two pots....she would always say...I just made a pot. Thanks for all the laughs and memories Mom, we will carry them throughout our lives. Mom and Dad spent many summers at Westhawk Lake. The trip was always a long one, sometimes taking up to six hours to get there. Mom and Dad loved to explore Caddy Lake, ride their bikes along many gravel roads, nightly walks for that cold one or an ice cream for Scrapper. Just being together to enjoy the great outdoors. Our family would like to thank the Health Sciences MICU for making our mom's final days very peaceful. Also thank you to many friends and family who visited our mom. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on April 14, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 1567 William Ave. W. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations can be made to St. Thomas Anglican Church, 1567 William Ave. W., in honour of our mom.
