After a period of time working in Winnipeg she met her husband Nick. They were married in 1944 and moved to the family farm in Dallas where they raised their family of five sons and one daughter. The farm was always a place for the families to meet with open arms. A place called home to many who passed through her doors, including her special nephew and godson Danny, who also fondly called her mom. They later moved and retired to Fisher Branch where she took pride in her garden and grew the best dill in town. Her family continued to be the utmost importance to her, she loved each one with all of her heart. Her heart of Gold extended to all who met her. Her quiet presence, wisdom and selfless love continues to inspire us. I thank the Lord for you today, For hands that gave so much, For your kind and thoughtful spirit, And your gentle, caring touch. I thank the Lord for you today, For your angel heart of gold, For your words of guidance and support, For arms so quick to hold.
