BARBARA FRIESEN It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt, Barbara Ann Friesen. She passed away Monday, April 9, 2007, at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB, at the age of 48 years after a long fight with cancer. Barb is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 27 years, Bob; her sons, Rob and Evan; her daughters, Jolene and Nadine; her parents John and Edna Broesky; and her brothers, Jeff (Lenora), Randy, Barry (Cindy), Corey (Evelyn). She is also survived by her father-in-law Cornie (Grace); brothers-in-law, Ron (Elaine), Vern (Val), Curt (Krista); and sisters-in-law, Sandra (Stan) and Rose (Larry). Barb will be remembered forever for her caring heart. She loved making everyone laugh and smile. She always wanted to be around her kids and watch them in whatever they were doing, no matter how old they may be or what they were doing. She always put a smile on everyone's face with her infectious smile and laughter. She loved to act and was very active in the community with everything from 14 years teaching Sunday School and being Sunday School superintendent, local VBS programs, being PTA president, volunteering on the Hanover Ag Society and local 4H groups. She was a great friend to everyone she met and always tried to put others before her no matter what her needs were. Barb was a resident of Grunthal, Manitoba, for about 27 years but grew up in Winnipeg. Our utmost thanks goes out to all of those who came to visit her in the hospital and all the doctors and nurses for all they did keeping her and the family comfortable during her stay. The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Grunthal Bergthaler Mennonite Church in Grunthal. The viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach, on Friday, April 13 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. Interment at the Grunthal Cemetery.
