ALICE WAGNER Peacefully with her family at her side, Alice Wagner passed away at Beacon Hill Lodge, Winnipeg, on March 30, 2007. Alice was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Flora Haddad; her husband Olie, common-law husband Al; brothers, George, Eddie, Michael, Gordon and Reg, stepbrothers, Charlie and George Burrell, stepsisters, Margaret Robinson and Dorothy Parkin. Surviving are sisters, Audrey McRae, Lillian Scotten and Agnes Bregg, son Bryan, grandchildren, Tina, Bill, Mark; and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Alice spent most of her childhood in St. Joseph Orphanage due to the death of her mother. This resulted in Alice becoming a very devoted caregiver to her younger sister and others close to her. She was employed most of her life in the food industry. She worked for the Chocolate Shop on Portage Avenue for many years. Alice never complained, even when the going was tough. She took great pride in her appearance. Her weekly visits to her hairdresser were a must. Alice was a woman ahead of her times and will be sadly missed. Thank-you to the staff of Beacon Hill Lodge for the care they gave her in her final years. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 14 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Ave. Honorary pallbearers will be all her friends. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 885-9715
