ROSE TENCHA It is with great sadness, but with loving memories that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, at the Victoria Hospital on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at the age of 88. Mom was predeceased by her husband Philip Tencha in November 2001 and previously to that by her mother, father, four brothers and sister. Left to cherish her memory are her six children, Joan, Gerald (Doreen), Marilyn (Andy), Philip (Claire), Gary (Wendy) and Jacqui (Chris). She will also be lovingly remembered by 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Rose was born in St. Norbert, Manitoba on October 10, 1918. At the age of 17, Mom met Dad; they courted for 6 months and married. Mom and Dad made their home on a farm in St. Norbert. Mom enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden and flower gardens. Mom was an avid bingo player and thoroughly enjoyed that opportunity to socialize with her many friends. During the winter months, Mom and Dad travelled to their winter home in Florida. She enjoyed the daily shopping trips more for getting out than for shopping. She loved it when her children and grandchildren would visit. She would occasionally accompany them to Disney World and Cocoa Beach to pick shells. Thank to you the nurses on floor four who took great care of Mom. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice in her memory. Thank you Mom for all the years of love and care you gave to us. You will be forever in our hearts. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 973 Red River Dr. in St. Norbert. A viewing will take place one half hour prior to the service.
