WILLIAM ARTHUR BYMAN October 23, 1928 - April 6, 2007 With deep regret, we announce the passing of Bill in the early hours of Good Friday at the St. Boniface Hospital. He will be deeply mourned by his loving sister Millie Richards, brother Edgar, sister-in-law Ada Byman, and special, long time friend Eleonore Philbert. Also mourning Uncle Bill's passing are his nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews: Bruce Richards, Brenda (Terry) Millar and family; Trevor and Kimberley (Mario) Pereira, Tim (Debbie) Byman and family; Jessie and Holly; Kate Byman; Craig (Pat) Byman and family; Pamela, Colin and Jillian; Sally (Denis) Byman-Wiebe and daughter, Kristie and one great-grandniece Isabella Pereira. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Ethel and Anders Byman, his brother George, sister- in-law Lois, and his nephew Phillip Byman. Bill was born and raised in Norwood Grove, St. Boniface. After completing his schooling he became an apprentice in a Denturist lab, later to open his own lab as a fully certified Denturist. His lab, originally the Crescent Dental Lab, was later reorganized as the Central Park Dental Clinic; which he operated up until his sudden illness on March 27th. Bill was a Noble in the Shrine Khartijm Temple for over 50 years. Belonging to the motor patrol, the sports car unit, and acted as Secretary Treasurer for the year 1978 to 1979. He was earlier an active member of the St. Boniface/St. Vital Kinsmen Club, and a Mason in the St. Boniface (Norwood) Lodge. Bill was a warm, gentle, tender-hearted man who deeply cared for the welfare of humanity and animals. In return he received the love and admiration of his many long time friends and colleagues. He was an avid sports fan and had a great love for humour and music. At Bill's request he has been cremated and will be interred at a later date in the Byman family plot at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens attended by close members of his family. A gathering of friends will be held at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., on Saturday, April 21 at 3:30 p.m. The family would like to extend special thanks to Linda Pondy and Dave Kodak for their support and help during these past few weeks.
